The Founders

Karen Tressa, as Co-Founder of Beyond the Tassel, LLC, brings 25 years of corporate and consulting experience including executive recruitment, human resources and benefits consulting, executive coaching, career transition counseling and job search strategy expertise.

Throughout her career, Karen has successfully coached and recruited professionals and executives within diverse industries and functions. She has experience working with start-ups, small and large companies, mergers and acquisitions, domestic and international organizations across industries including financial services, energy and environmental markets, sales and marketing, media, healthcare and consumer products.

Eleven years ago Karen  founded Executive Solutions Consulting Group, LLC which continues to specialize in executive recruitment of high impact performers across disciplines, and HR consulting services to small and mid-size entrepreneurial companies. The firm continues to maintain a strong track record of success.

Prior to founding Executive Solutions, Karen was Vice President Human Resources for one of the largest independent power producers in North America where she was responsible for all domestic and international HR activities for nine years. She also held various HR management positions at Citigroup, American Express and Exxon Mobil handling diverse challenges planning and designing corporate employee benefit programs.

Karen is also the Co-Founder and Director for the Care Plus Executive Solutions Coaching Program which is affiliated with Care Plus Solutions Inc.

Karen is results-oriented and takes great pride in her commitment to producing measurable results and customized solutions. She is a focused and energetic problem solver who can clearly help both individuals and organizations realize their goals.

Karen currently maintains a membership in the Society for Human Resource Management. She graduated from Stony Brook University with a B.A. in Social Science and attended Baruch University’s MBA program.
